Lean Enterprise tools and techniques improve productivity, cut lead times, increases product quality and reduce projection costs. Participate in a simulation that transforms a traditional manufacturing company into a Lean Enterprise.
A3 Thinking and VSM (includes an Individual Project) – Wednesday, May 10th
Learn and apply A3 Tools and Thinking along with the Edwards Deming Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach using a problem from your own organization. Learn the fundamental tool of Value Steam Mapping and build a VSM from customer order to shipping.
Communication and High-performance Teams – Thursday, May 18th
Learn strategies to build trust, improve morale and enhance group problem solving capabilities. Pinpoint barriers and develop constructive strategies, behavioral styles, and skills.
Change Management & 6S Workplace Visualization – Wednesday, May 24th
The 6S System is a series of activities that improve workplace organization, standardization and safety while improving quality and decreasing throughput times. Learn the techniques needed to establish visual management systems to improve workplace communication and adherence to standards.
A3 Thinking and VSM Project Coaching, with a Facilities Tour – Wednesday, May 31st
15 minute report out on projects followed by project coaching to improve project using A3 Thinking and VSM.
Standard Work and SMED – Wednesday, June 1st
Standard Work is the starting point for all continuous improvement efforts. Learn this proven method for creating standard work, applying document control, and how to use visual workplace principles to train others in the latest best practice.
Project Presentation & Certification Presentation – Wednesday, June 28th
Final project report out, participant showing results or expected results of project activities. Company managers invited to view employee presentations.
