Making the Utilities Act 129 Programs Pay Back for You – Penelec and West Penn Power Customers

March 20, 2015 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 am

$25.00

Penelec and West Penn Power Customers:

Act 129 requires the four largest electric utilities in PA—including PPL Electric Utilities and First Energy (West Penn Power and Penelec)–to reduce their customers’ electric consumption by offering programs and rebates to every customer class.  There are rebates for lighting, appliances, HVAC systems, energy audits and much more. While focused primarily on reducing electricity use, several of the Act 129 programs can be used to achieve even greater cost savings through non-electric heating fuel reductions.

Now in its sixth year, many Act 129 programs originally offered have expired or been modified.

Todd Kirkpatrick – PA Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program Manager, First Energy and Liz McQuaide – Program Manager, CLEAResult will be leading the presentation and explaining which Act 129 programs will provide the greatest return on investment for you.

Act 129 program managers will provide an overview of their utility’s Act 129 program, followed by comments and advice from private and public sector facility managers who have engaged in both the prescriptive and custom incentives Act 129 programs. Bring your data, experience and questions for this interactive forum.

*If you are an energy reduction materials or service provider, we also recommend the PPL Customers seminar to learn more about both utilities’ programs.
