SUMMARY:Getting it Right: Understanding the Impacts of DoD Cyber Compliance Enforcement
DESCRIPTION:Print PDFPrintPrime contractors are encouraged to invite their suppliers (and especially the suppliers’ executives) to attend this webinar to learn more about what these impacts and liabilities mean for their future business. \nAs the DoD turns up the heat on defense contractors to ensure compliance with DFARS / NIST / CMMC cybersecurity requirements\, prime contractors and their suppliers are exposed to increasing impacts and liabilities. In Webinar 18\, the Cyber Collaboration Center welcomes former federal prosecutor Mr. Kenji Price\, who recently retired as the United States Attorney for the District of Hawaii\, and previously served as an Assistant US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. \nNow in private practice with McDermott Will & Emery\, Mr. Price will discuss the legal impacts and risks involved in DoD contractor cybersecurity regulatory compliance\, including matters relating to False Claims Act (FCA) and the lesser known “Christian Doctrine” that can place liability on contractors in certain cases even when clauses are omitted from their contracts.  Business executives\, owners and leaders should clearly  understand what is required to meet DFARS\, NIST and CMMC regulations\, and the impacts of not properly meeting compliance.  We’ll explore the importance of discernment and how to ensure primes correctly understand the risks associated with their management of supplier compliance. \nIn addition\, experts from eResilience will provide examples of how some primes are helping their suppliers get education and assistance to help them manage supplier risk. \nRegister \nPRESENTERS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKenji Price\nPartner\, McDermott Will & Emery \n\nKenji M. SUMMARY:Fostering & Sustaining a Healthy Culture in a Hybrid Workforce
DESCRIPTION:Print PDFPrintAs companies calibrate the balance between remote and in-office work\, company cultures may be facing their greatest challenge in generations. \nTemporary work-from-home policies are maturing into more permanent hybrid work models with some mix of at-home and at-office schedules. 2/3’s of those employees that have been working at home during the pandemic want to continue to do so; 1/3 of those same employees say they will quit if forced to return to a central office to work. They’ve seen that remote work can work and do not want to return to having a daily commute which they view as a waste of time. \nMany of the elements that defined a company’s culture just a few years ago are much less effective today. The hybrid workplace requires a new approach for fostering and sustaining a healthy company culture. \nJoin Dr. Bob Nelson and Mario Tamayo as they share the 5 most important elements of fostering and sustaining any company culture in a hybrid work environment—and how you can ensure your team is productive\, collaborative\, and connected no matter where they are—or when they work. \nYou’ll discover: \n\nWhat the heck does hybrid mean anyways?\nThe rise and fall of the proverbial water cooler—and where connections are made today\nThe 5 most important factors for a healthy hybrid workforce\nWhy inclusion matters more than ever before\nHow to build relationships and maximize your team in a virtual world\nTechnology’s role in the future of workplace culture\n\nAll webinar registrants will receive a complimentary article “Engaging Employees Today: More Than Just Measurement” by Bob Nelson\, Ph.D. The first 100 webinar registrants will receive a complimentary copy of The Virtual Manager. All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the presenters’ latest book\, Work Made Fun Gets Done! SUMMARY:Automated Machine Tool Processes: What You Need to Know
DESCRIPTION:Print PDFPrintAs you look to improve your production processes\, automation is a must. But\, what does that mean? There are many levels of automation and there is no “one size fits all” approach. Every application is unique and you don’t necessarily need to automate an entire process. Nor\, does the process need to be repetitive. Technology and expertise around automation has evolved to a point that even with low-volume\, high mix applications\, you can automate. \nAgenda:\n\nAutomated machine tending\nLow volume/high mix applications\nAutomation technology\n\nRegister \nPresenter:\nMichael Gaunce – Group Manager\, Stationary Workholding \nMichael Gaunce is the Group Manager for Stationary Workholding at SCHUNK with 9 years of experience in the workholding industry. He grew up in Raleigh\, North Carolina where he also obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from NC State University. During his last year of college\, he began working part-time as a designer and application engineer in the specialized industry of magnetic workholding & material handling. Upon graduation\, Michael resumed the role full-time at the small design/assembly house where he learned every aspect of the business\, including the quoting\, design and implementation. In 2012\, Michael joined SCHUNK as a Sales Support Engineer to broaden his knowledge and skill set to include all forms of workholding devices (not just magnetic) in the manufacturing industry. The opportunity to travel the country and visit various manufacturing facilities in all sectors of industry has provided him with a unique insight into the true value of good workholding\, and efficient change-over between tooling. Now\, Michael leads a team of application engineers\, and focuses on broader market initiatives which has gained him deeper insights into general market trends in manufacturing. In recent years\, Michael is keen to help his customers with the automation of machine tools. Automation is now not just restricted to high production manufacturers like automotive – it is being adopted by all industries and a wide variety of companies\, large and small. \nPresented By:\n\n\n\n\nPrint PDFPrint
