SUMMARY:Implementing Lean Principles - How Modern Technology is Changing the Game
DESCRIPTION:Print PDFPrintThe five Lean principles are well known and have been adopted by many organizations since they were introduced in the ‘90s. Ultimately\, Lean focuses on eliminating waste (any unnecessary activity that consumes time\, resources\, or space) so that every step of a process adds value. It is no surprise then that in this period of uncertainty\, we are seeing a renewed interest in Lean to increase productivity and reduce costs without affecting quality. \nIn this webinar\, we will discuss how modern technologies make Lean easier to implement and measure. We will focus on the main reasons to digitize your Lean principles including: \n\nHow visual management can have a huge impact on people’s efficiency across all levels\nWhich digital tools enable Continuous Improvement by giving users ownership of their applications\nHow changing your waste management procedures can improve efficiency\nWhy you should digitize your work processes to ensure consistency\, repeatability\, traceability\, and more\n\nJoin us and discover how a modern implementation of Lean can dramatically impact quality\, efficiency\, and your bottom line. \nVisit IMC’s events page to learn more and register for our upcoming Lean Manufacturing Level One Certification in Williamsport and State College. Or email info@imcpa.com to schedule a time to talk Lean with one of IMC’s Business Advisors. \nRegister \nBy clicking above\, I acknowledge and agree to Endeavor’s Terms of Service and to Endeavor’s use of my contact information to communicate with me about offerings by Endeavor\, its brands\, affiliates and/or third-party partners\, consistent with Endeavor’s Privacy Policy. SUMMARY:How COVID Has Transformed Buyer Expectations in Manufacturing
DESCRIPTION:Print PDFPrintIt is clear that the COVID-19 crisis has accelerated digital commerce in manufacturing and has transformed buying expectations. But what are the key details that manufacturers must heed in order to capitalize on these changes? \nTo identify precisely how manufacturing B2B buying preferences have changed throughout this crisis\, PROS worked with Hanover Research to conduct a survey of 113 B2B professionals who self-identified as being buyers of manufacturers. In this webinar\, Richard Blatcher (PROS)\, Valerie Howard (PROS)\, and David Petrucci (Microsoft) will showcase the results found in this survey\, such as: \n\nManufacturing buyers primarily purchasing through digital self-serve channels have increased by 40%.\nThe top challenges faced by manufacturing buyers are slow responses to inquiries\, lack of transparency into inventory\, and incomplete product information.\n7 out of 10 manufacturing buyers are shifting their wallet share.\n\nRichard\, Valerie\, and David will also describe what manufacturers such as Fonterra\, HP\, and Manitou are doing to mitigate these changes and challenges\, including: \n\nImproving the digital/ eCommerce buying experience to drive more sales via that channel.\nOptimizing complex and omnichannel pricing\, selling\, and ordering processes for greater efficiency.\nImproving sales teams’ productivity and quote turnaround times for greater customer satisfaction.\n\nBring your own questions for our panel of experts! Plus all attendees will receive a .pdf copy of the survey results. Our speakers will walk through how large-scale global organizations are achieving real-time visibility across their supply chains. \nBy leveraging a low-code platform\, logistics leaders across industries have been able to connect disparate sources of data and information – from ERPs to one-off spreadsheets – and achieve real-time visibility across departments\, locations\, and teams. Join us to learn how you can do the same\, including: \n\nWhat is low-code?\nThe basics of implementation\nPractical gains that manufacturers have seen\n\nPlus\, bring your logistics challenges and pose them to our panel so you can start solving your problems today. SUMMARY:Improve Performance via Cleaner Metal
DESCRIPTION:Print PDFPrintMetal filtration within the foundry industry has long been a staple method for ensuring the integrity of a casting. In this webinar we will examine the traditional methods of metal filtration by addressing core technologies and new innovations\, such as EXACTPORE 3D filters. \nA special focus on 3D filter technology: Metal purity is one of the most important requirements in the foundry industry. Best practice in the field of molten metal filtration is the use of sintered ceramic foam filters. But the structure of the filter foams in particular means that this form of filtration also has its limits. During the ceramic coating and sintering process\, tiny particles may form inside the filter structure\, which are only slightly sintered with the base material. Flow through the filter can cause these particles to detach\, which impairs the purity of the melt and can lead to inclusions in the casting.  Learn how these issues can be solved in this webinar through 3D technology.
