Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics is one of the largest medical diagnostics companies in the world. It offers a comprehensive array of diagnostic products that provide highly effective ways to assist in the diagnosis, monitoring and management of disease Siemens has been progressing their Lean journey since 2001, and employing Lean 3P design for the past 6 years.
Dentsply Caulk is a division of DENTSPLY International, the world’s largest professional dental products manufacturer.. Caulk began embracing lean philosophies in the late 1990’s, and began a broader continuous improvement approach in 2003 when we combined the removal of waste in lean with variation reduction of Six Sigma using our internal brand name of “Operational Excellence”. Caulk has incorporated the use of Lean Principles through a partnership with DEMEP and AME and has been using 3P since 2009.
TOUR and COURSE DESCRIPTION
After an introduction to both companies, Siemens will conduct a 1-hour plant tour showcasing the results of several 3P events. Dentsply Caulk and Siemens will provide a thorough explanation of their 3P events, including upfront planning, event execution, and business results. The entire afternoon is dedicated to conducting hands-on simulations so the participants will acquire practical tools for the 3P process. Hands-on simulations include production floor layout and process design optimization from the perspective of customer experience and manufacturability.
