Business Continuity During Natural Disasters

Supporting Your Employees and Protecting Your Business

As natural disasters continue to impact businesses both large and small at a seemingly increasing frequency, what are the proactive steps that business leaders can take now to be as ready as possible? This presentation will focus on two key areas of business concern during and after natural disasters: (1) stabilizing my employees living conditions so they can return to work, and (2) stabilizing and recovering my facility assets so I can serve my customers. Both are essential to minimizing the business disruption that a natural disaster can cause.

We will provide many best practices that have been refined by lessons learned during recent events.

  • Plan ahead to have right resources in place to respond and recover.
  • Employee Stabilization best practices that focus on what your people need to recover at home so they can return their focus on the business.
  • Facility Asset recovery best practices from emergency logistics to cost tracking to worker health & safety.

Business Continuity Management: Managing Risk and Improving Recovery

Business Continuity Management (BCM) enables organizations to manage risk and enable better, faster recovery following a disruption. BCM involves proactive risk identification to limit potential damage to an organization’s brand, capital, functions, and revenue.

Disruptions range from man-made events (i.e. cyber or terrorist attacks) to natural events (i.e. extreme weather or natural disaster). Given today’s environment, it’s not a matter of if a disruption will occur but when a disruption will occur.

DuPont Sustainable Solutions (DSS) believes that BCM is the continuous improvement of an organization’s recovery capabilities. During this webinar, you will learn about:

  • Characteristics and behaviors of resilient organizations
  • The key elements of the DSS approach to business continuity
  • How DSS clients successfully managed business disruptions and lessons learned

Webinar: Managing Your Safety Program – Beyond Compliance

According to OSHA, a little more than a third of workplaces that were required to file their reports online this year did not file. As a safety professional, your responsibility is to return your employees home safely. But you are also required to submit reports and document activities so you stay in compliance. Managing all of the tasks can be challenging, without tools to support and employee buy-in to engage in your safety program.

In this webinar, safety expert Langdon Dement will discuss the role of employee engagement in managing an effective safety program, and share a new easy-to-use tool that promotes proactive reporting and streamlines the process for submitting files to OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
