Driving Manufacturing Growth and Job Creation in Central Pennsylvania
OSHA recently published a long-awaited notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that would update its Hazard Communication Standard (HazCom) to align with Revision 7 of the UN’s Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). The proposed revisions would have far-reaching impact throughout the chemical supply chain, including the need for hazardous chemical manufacturers to A) reclassify certain chemicals, B) reauthor safety data sheets (SDSs), and C) develop new shipped container labels; and for end-users to manage a wave of updated SDSs and shipped labels in their inventory, and to update their own HazCom practices accordingly. The public comment period for the NPRM ends on April 19, 2021.
This live webinar will review the background of the NPRM and the proposed changes, taking a close look at significant changes, such as the introduction of new classifications for several categories of chemicals, changes to requirements for labeling, and changes to select hazard and precautionary statements.
Register today for an in-depth look at OSHA’s NPRM so you can make sure your business and your people are well-prepared.
