A manager tasked with introducing a lean approach should not downplay the challenge, writes Peter Anthony, CEO of UGN. Face-to-face communication is valuable, as is developing ambassadors for lean among the staff.
It has been my pleasure working with IMC on our Lean training. IMC has done exceptional work accommodating about 175 Lycoming Engines employees, cross payroll, from every job description, every corner of our facility, on all 3 of our shifts, to help each person understand how Lean can help them no matter their role. VERY nicely done.
Over the course of the last several years, we have sent the majority of our management staff through lean manufacturing programs presented by IMC. As in organization that prides itself on continuous improvement, these workshops give our team the tools it needs to create long-term, increased success. It’s our hope, and plan to continue to educate all of our employees by these means.
We couldn’t have been happier with the consultant that IMC paired us with. We’re actually on the third project now.
