Innovative Manufacturers Center
Driving Manufacturing Growth and Job Creation in Central Pennsylvania
Kata can be described as a system of methodically creating “learners”, people who improve their work processes by thinking scientifically. Join ASQ’s February webinar as Bill Kraus and Hank Czarnecki show the principles and best practices associated with implementing Kata in the workplace.
In the Lean Starter Kata webinar you’ll learn very practical information on how to start and sustain a Kata program in your organization. See and hear about mistakes others have made and establish a plan to avoid making those same mistakes.
Bill Kraus has over 50 years of direct hands on manufacturing experience. He spent 28 years with Monsanto Chemical Company, Engelhard Corporation and other companies. His areas of responsibility involved construction, maintenance and manufacturing within 12 manufacturing plants across the U.S. In 1996, he joined the Arkansas Economic Development Commission Manufacturing Solutions NIST MEP team.
Hank Czarnecki is the director of the Auburn Technical Assistance Center, part of the NIST MEP system. He has a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering and has trained thousands of engineers, managers, and floor associates in lean manufacturing.
