Practical Industry 4.0: Leveraging Market-ready Digital Technologies for Factory Operations

March 19, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

The American manufacturing sector is undergoing a digital transformation. However, as manufacturers explore the idea of digitizing their own factories, they must sift through vast amounts of information and determine what is just “noise” versus what is practical. Join DVIRC and MxD for a training that will address practical application of Industry 4.0 in a factory setting, discuss the do’s and don’ts of digital manufacturing, and outline some common misconceptions related to factory digitization.

Benefits of attending:

  • Hear from MxD, the nation’s digital manufacturing institute, about what Industry 4.0 encompasses and how manufacturers can think about application in a factory
  • Learn about a practical approach to digital transformation and understand what manufacturers can do today with commercially available digital technologies
  • View portions of MxD’s state-of-the-art Future Factory in a virtual demonstration, including a line that is equipped with a dozen sensors monitoring everything from ambient temperature to machine vibrations

Who should attend:

This training is most applicable to small and mid-sized manufacturers who are interested in learning more about Industry 4.0 application in a factory setting. Job functions include representatives who manage factory operations, process improvement, and/or digital implementation.
